After signing a cooperation contract, Hyundai Motor and Apple Inc. will start working on self-driving electric vehicles, which will be offered in the U.S. almost in 2024.
However, the report by Korea IT News was not strongly affirmed by the companies; Hyundai Automotive Manufacturer didn’t address the report but stated several companies already asked to work with the company to produce self-driving cars.
Another fresh report by the same source didn’t offer specifications on the location and magnitude of production with no timetable to sign up the deal. The earlier statement, though, mentioned more detailed information: the location is in Kia Motors’ factory in Georgia or in a two-sided factory built in the U.S., with a production capacity of 100,000 cars no later than 2024. The two firms have designed a plan to offer “beta version” of the Apple EVs in the next year, according to the report.
